Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens: Vulture Awareness Day

Celebrate Vulture Awareness Day at Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens with a fun-filled day of family-friendly activities highlighting these important, and often misunderstood, birds! Learn more about the vital role vultures play in our ecosystems, participate in hands-on activities and enjoy a special enrichment experience for the vultures.
Enrichment will be presented at 12 p.m., followed by a talk from our Animal Care Specialists where guests can learn more about these fascinating birds.
Plus, you could win a Behind-the-Scenes Flamingo Encounter! Guests will receive one raffle entry for every activity they participate in throughout the event. The more activities you complete, the more chances you have to win.
