FIRST COAST YMCA HOSTS BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH DRIVE-THRU TO THANK ACTIVE MILITARY MEMBERS
The Y’s fourth annual Back-to-School Bash gives back to military families across Northeast Florida
This year the First Coast YMCA will host the first-ever drive-thru edition of its annual Back-to-School Bash to benefit Northeast Florida military families. Instead of a full day of family friendly activities, select Y locations will be hosting contact-free drive-thru for families of active duty, guard and reserve military members to safely receive a backpack full of school supplies. No matter if your child is attending school in-person or virtually, the First Coast YMCA is here to fill the gaps for those who keep our country safe.
For all active duty, guard and reserve military members and their families.
Saturday, August 1st – Sunday, August 2nd
Hours of operation will be dependent on location. See details below.
Drive-thrus will be open rain or shine at the following YMCA locations:
Dye Clay Family YMCA: Sat., Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
3322 Moody Ave., Orange Park, FL 32065
Barco-Newton Family YMCA: Sun., Aug. 2 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
2075 Town Center Blvd., Fleming Island, FL 32003
As the first affiliate of the Armed Services YMCA in Florida, the First Coast YMCA strengthens our military families by providing programs and services to the men and women of all five armed services and continues. The Back-to-School Bash Drive-Thru is another example of the First Coast YMCA serving Northeast Florida’s robust military community, while also meeting the needs of families during this uncertain back-to-school season. This event is made possible with the support of Publix Super Markets, VyStar Credit Union and the Crowley Cares Foundation.
