The Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience is a full-time University of Florida research center dedicated to biomedical research and biotechnology. Founded in 1974, the lab uses marine model animals to study fundamental questions in biology and apply that knowledge to human health, natural resources, and environmental challenges.
