Ripley's Believe It or Not: Grand Opening “Cryptids – Where Legends Live!”

What do a chupacabra, an okapi, and a Sandhill crane have in common? You’ll find out soon — only at Ripley's Believe It or Not! as they kick off the grand opening of “Cryptids – Where Legends Live!”
Join the celebration Saturday, January 17th from 2–6 PM with free activities for the general public and a brand‑new exhibit included with admission. Expect a 5‑foot animatronic Mothman cake, incredible performers, presentations, kids’ crafts, and a full lineup of legendary fun.
Cryptid fans can also enter the all‑ages costume contest for a chance to win a $200 gift card for first place, a $100 gift card for second place, and a $50 gift card for third place. Registration is at 2:30 PM, and the contest begins at 3:00 PM.
Meet Florida Skunk Ape expert Dave Shealy, enjoy stage shows from Scott Xavier and Amora Fire, and explore creatures like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, the Jersey Devil, Jackalopes, the Fiji Mermaid, and more.
It’s all part of Ripley’s 75th anniversary year in St. Augustine — and it’s going to be legendary.
