Lets Color Our World with art from around the world this summer! Practice a different art form as we travel to a new place each class.
Each class focuses on a different area of the world and is recommended for elementary aged children. Registration is not required but space is first come first served!
Thursday classes in this series:
June 12th: Travel to the Middle East to learn the history of and make an amulet called a hamsa!
June 26th: Visit Australia and make aboriginal dot paintings
July 3rd: Go south of the border to Mexico and practice yarn painting.
July 10th: Travel to the Pueblos of the Southwest United States to make coiled pinch pot pottery.
July 24th: Learn about mandalas from Asia and create your own out of found objects.
July 31st: Visit West Africa to create a print and paper weaving project based on Kente cloth.
