The Shell Jamboree is a great way to learn and explore shell collecting on the First Coast. Members of the Jacksonville Shell Club and Matanzas Riverkeepers will be on hand to present information on shell collecting and the importance of oysters to the local water supply.
Numerous exhibits will be displayed from Jacksonville Shell Club members covering topics of Native Americans use of shells in everyday life, the environment and its impact on the hobby of shelling, and informative collections of shells from Northeast Florida and other parts of the country and world.
Members of the Shell Club are available to identify shells and answer questions.
