Join a Lightner Educator and special guest, Nicole Miller, for Storytime in the Garden as we read the book Learn from Earth All About Surf! This childrens book aims to educate young readers about the science behind surfing. It explains how factors like wind, tides, and sea movement create ocean swells, allowing them to understand the natural forces that generate waves perfect for riding at the beach. Following the book reading, a hands-on experiment and a craft will center on the fun of planet Earth.
This program is for children ages 3-6 years old. Guardians must remain with their children for the duration of the program.
This is a free workshop, but pre-registration is required. Participants should arrive at the Radzinski Family Garden, which is located at the rear of the Lightner Museum.
