Oldest City Easter Week Festival: Saint Augustine Royal Family Annual Blessing of the Fleets

The Saint Augustine Royal Family and Entourage will be in attendance at the Blessing of the Fleet. Its a beautiful event held at the Municipal Marina immediately after Palm Sunday Mass at the Cathedral Basilica.

A procession of the Bishop, Clergy, Knights of Columbus and Royal Family will exit the Cathedral and walk to the Marina where the Bishop will bless all vessels and crew.

The tradition of the Blessing of the Fleet goes back centuries to protect the fishing vessels and crew to ensure their safe return.
