Join the Friends of the Saint Augustine Amphitheatre for an evening of holiday cheer at its 2nd Annual Holiday Celebration. This festive fete features a showing of the holiday classic, Home Alone, as well as face painting, snow, fun activities, and Santa Claus.
The 2nd Annual Holiday Celebration features family-friendly fun for a great cause. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre gates open at 5pm.
The first 300 kids receive a free t-shirt, while everyone has a chance to win great door prizes, including a guitar signed by American singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw. Once inside, kids can have their faces painted and complete the look with fairy hair, play in the snow (actual snow in Florida!) and enjoy other fun activities. Setting the holiday mood are the Flagler College Carolers, who will stroll throughout the event from 5-6:45pm, sharing their joyful songs. The Festival of Trees will be beautifully displayed on the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Front Porch, featuring themed Christmas trees and wreaths. Guests can bid on their favorite tree or wreath during the silent auction from 5pm until 8:30pm. Proceeds benefit the St. Francis House and Port in the Storm Homeless Youth Center.
The holiday classic Home Alone begins at 7pm. Rated PG, Home Alone features Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McAllister, who must defend his home from a pair of bungling burglars after being left home alone by his family. Kids can snack on free popcorn and hot chocolate. The event is free, so you can keep the change, ya’ filthy animal, but please bring one – or more – canned or non-perishable goods for the Holiday Food Drive, hosted in collaboration with the St. Francis House. The St. Francis House is a housing-focused program that meets families and single adults’ basic needs while providing services that help plan for a self-sufficient future.
Bring non-perishable goods for the food drive to support the St. Francis House
