Storytime in the Garden is a new family program focusing on literacy and creativity that uses the Radzinski Family Garden and Terrace to read, explore, and have fun. Each Storytime in the Garden includes a themed book read-aloud by a museum educator, and a hands-on activity that pairs with the book.
Join the Lightner for the first Storytime in the Garden as we read Hector the Collector by Emily A. Beeny, illustrated by Stephanie Graegin. Following the reading, there will be a hands-on craft that explores the fun of collecting.
This program is for children ages 3 – 6 years old. Guardians must remain with their children for the duration of the program.
Storytime in the Garden is a free workshop, but preregistration is required.
Participants should arrive 5 minutes before the program begins in the garden, and will be met by the museum educator.
The Radzinski Family Garden is located at the rear of the Lightner Museum.
The maximum number of spaces available is 10.
