  • Location: Francis Field, 25 West Castillo Drive, Saint Augustine, FL US 32084

The St. Johns County Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics at Francis Field in Downtown Saint Augustine. The run is 1.9 miles, non-competitive, and pace controlled.

Participants will be escorted by a motorcade of law enforcement vehicles through downtown on the bayfront.

The course is a 1.9 mile controlled pace awareness run through historic downtown. Those who choose to do so can also make a donation to receive a commemorative spotlighted agency medal at the completion of the event. We will have St Johns County Athletes at the finish line placing medals on the participants who chose to purchase them. With the purchase of a 2024 Law Enforcement Torch Run shirt you are eligible to participate in the run. If you chose not to purchase a shirt you are still welcome to participate by coming out to cheer on the runners. Law Enforcement vehicles and personel will be on hand from agencies throughout the county.

The donations we receive go to Special Olympics Florida. Those donations directly impact athletes across the state by helping in providing needed athletic equipment, travel expenses, and assisting in health care needs.

We run to help build a world where people with intellectual disabilities are included and accepted. We run to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. We run to empower Special Olympics Florida athletes- helping them transform themselves, their communities and the world.
