The Easter Week Festival invites you to the Royal Transfer of Office Ceremony which will be held in the Cathedral Basilica West Courtyard.
Please join the Saint Augustine Royal Family for the Royal Transfer of Office as we welcome the new Royal Trio for 2024-2025.
​Since 1959, the Saint Augustine Royal Family has promoted the City of Saint Augustine by portraying the Spanish Royal Trio of King Carlos II, Queen Marianna and Princess Margarita Maria. The Royal Trio was in reign when the Castillo de San Marcos was decreed to be built in 1672. Each year, we commemorate this Royal Trio by choosing three heritage natives to portray them and represent Saint Augustine throughout the year in various events.
