Stop, Drop, & Play! (for special needs families)

  • When: Saturday, May 6, 2023, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Location: Trinity Parish Church in downtown St. Augustine (215 St George St., St. Augustine 32084)
  • Cost: $5.00

Stop, Drop, & Play (SDP) events are for children with special needs and their siblings! So parents, enjoy a moment of REST while the Ability Tree Team hangs out with your child(ren).

MVPs and their siblings will make new friends, play fun inclusive games & accessible activities, and much more! Meanwhile, you as the parent/caregiver get a break from your ongoing care-giving responsibilities! Your MVP will not be left to figure out how to have fun on his/her own – our team makes sure everyone feels engaged, and we promote social skills throughout their time with us. We pay attention to their social ques and support accordingly.

Due to limited space and use of volunteers at each of these events, PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Once our spots are filled, there will be a waiting list in case of any family cancellations. If you are not able to register because all spots are filled, please put your name on the waiting list!

For MAY 6th, we will have a Start of Summer theme! So have your child(ren) wear their favorite summer clothes - that will be okay to possible get wet (water balloon corn hole games are in the plans!). We will be indoors and outdoors, so please dress accordingly. We will serve a snack of pretzels & lemonade. If your child(ren) prefer something different, they may bring something else to enjoy during snack time.
