St. Johns Technical High School Academy of Culinary Arts presents Restaurant Wars!
Eighteen students from the Academy of Culinary Arts will divide into 2 teams and engage in a competition of technical knowledge and skills. There will be 5 students representing the Back of the House and 2 students representing the Front of the House on each team. Each team will have 3 Professional Leads: 1 Savory Chef, 1 Sweet Chef and 1 Front of the House Director. Each team will have 1 hour to cook, prepare, and plate tastings plates of an appetizer, entrée, and dessert to paid guests. In addition, the teams will provide a fully composed plate of each dish to 3 judges. The Front of the House students are responsible for decorating their display table along with a signature drink (non-alcoholic) and garnish.
