SPARC Athletics is pleased to announce the opening of our brand new state-of-the-art, air-conditioned, athletic facility with three full cheer/dance floors as well as tumble and fitness areas. The facility is anticipated to open in the spring of 2023 and is conveniently located just a few short miles off World Golf Village exit of I-95. This site was chosen specifically to be geographically near the center of St. Johns County. SPARC Athletics gym owner Jim Armstrong said “This facility was built from the ground up to serve the youth of the rapidly growing St. Johns County. Our new facility, with spacious parking, will be able to host a variety of sports, such as cheer, dance, fitness classes, wrestling and more. There are large digital monitors around the facility providing up-to-the-minute updates and changes for our athletes and coaches. We will also be unveiling “SPARC Remote”, our security and monitoring system that will give participating parents the opportunity to view practices and performances remotely from any smart phone or laptop.”
SPARC Athletics will also be the new home for Saint Johns Middle Schools Athletic Association (SJMSAA) cheer and dance programs. SJMSAA President Justin Palesotti stated “My job is to ensure our sports programs are run smoothly and to find resources for our teams. Fields and facilities have historically been one of the most challenging parts of my job and we struggle each year to find adequate field space, and we have never had priority access to any gym space. We are very grateful to SPARC Athletics for investing nearly $2M into the construction of their new facility and for making SJMSAA and School teams a priority. It is rare indeed to have someone in the community make such a large commitment to our programs and our student athletes.”
SPARC Athletics will also be introducing some of the top cheer and dance instructors in Florida to assist these programs and grow the skills of each athlete. Our highly professional staff will be focused on personal and team growth as well as sportsmanship.
