Oglethorpe Battery Park

Nestled in what is now a charming neighborhood of single-family homes on Anastasia, Oglethorpe Battery Park is named after General James Oglethorpe.

Despite losing a historical battle when the British Blockaded the port of St. Augustine in 1740, the British General fought bravely with his troops and set up a land bombardment, which is where the park is located.
