SUMMARY:Flagler Beach Historical Museum: 25th Anniversary Reception
LOCATION:207 S. Central Ave, Flagler Beach, FL 32136
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Founded in 2001, the Flagler Beach Historical Museum has spent the past 25
years collecting, preserving and sharing the history of Flagler Beach and t
he surrounding community. From the people and places that shaped the area t
o the artifacts and stories that bring that history to life, the Museum pro
vides a place for residents and visitors to connect with the community’s pa
st. \n\nThe anniversary celebration will also honor Catherine Wilson’s endu
ring legacy through the presentation of the inaugural Catherine Wilson Awar
d to two young adults who have demonstrated a commitment to preserving and
sharing local history. Their recognition represents the Museum’s belief tha
t the responsibility of keeping Flagler Beach’s stories alive belongs not o
nly to those who came before, but also to the next generation of history ke
epers. \n\n“This anniversary is about so much more than a number,” said She
ila Pillath, Executive Director. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate everyone
who has played a part in the Museum’s story and to look ahead to the peopl
e who will carry that story forward. Founding members like Catherine Wilson
understood the importance of preserving our history, and it is especially
meaningful to honor her legacy by recognizing young people who are helping
ensure that our history continues to be remembered and shared.” \n\nGuests
will have an opportunity to celebrate this milestone, learn more about the
Museum’s history and recognize those who have helped make its work possible
. The evening will also look toward the future and the continued role the M
useum can play in preserving and sharing Flagler Beach’s unique story.
