 olunteer event invites residents, local organizations, schools, and communi
 ty members to help bring new life to this growing green space at 120 E. Coc
 hran Ave. Volunteers will assist with planting and site preparation as the 
 park begins to take shape.\n\nPlanning continues for the Hastings Main Stre
 et Pocket Park through a collaborative partnership with UF/IFAS St. Johns C
 ounty Extension and the St. Johns Botanical Garden & Nature Preserve. Toget
 her, the team is designing a vibrant landscape using Florida-Friendly Lands
 caping principles, with native trees, pollinator plants, and low-maintenanc
 e landscaping that will provide year-round beauty while supporting local wi
 ldlife. Planting is expected to begin this fall, with this community workda
 y marking an exciting first step.\n\nParticipants will also have opportunit
 ies to help plant and even adopt garden beds, creating a welcoming gatherin
 g space that reflects the pride and spirit of the Hastings community. As th
