 6th Annual Touch-a-Truck event back to Central Park in Town Center on Satur
 day, May 16 – a prelude to American Public Works Association’s National Pub
 lic Works Week, which is celebrated from May 17-23 this year.<br /><br />Th
 e week, founded in 1960, and declared via proclamation by President John F.
  Kennedy in 1962, has been recognized annually at the national level during
  the third week of May ever since – growing in popularity and spawning even
 ts across the country among the 30,000+ members of the APWA. This year will
  mark the 6th outing of Palm Coast’s annual Touch-a-Truck event, which offe
 rs the chance for attendees to get up close and personal with work vehicles
  and machinery of all shapes, sizes, and modalities.
X-EXTRAINFO:A special horn-free hour for those with sensory sensibilities will take pla
 ce from 10-11am. Convenient parking will be available along Central Ave and
  City Place, while Park Street, and Lake Ave will be closed as they will be
  utilized for the event.
