SUMMARY:Florida Naturalist Experience Institute of Natural Conservation:
LOCATION:Anastasia State Park, 300 Anastasia Park Road, St. Augustine, FL 32080
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Join the Florida Naturalist Experience Institute of Natural Conservation (F
NE INC) for a special coastal edition of our signature outdoor experience a
t Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine, Florida.\n\nSet within one of Nort
heast Florida’s most extraordinary and rare coastal hardwood hammock ecosys
tems, this immersive event offers a unique opportunity to explore a landsca
pe that has largely disappeared from Florida’s coastlines. Anastasia State
Park protects more than 1,600 acres of pristine beaches, tidal marshes, dun
es, and maritime hammock, where ancient live oaks, cabbage palms, and dense
understory plants create a cool, shaded refuge just steps from the Atlanti
c Ocean. These hammocks are among the most biologically diverse coastal hab
itats in the state and provide critical shelter for migratory birds, native
wildlife, and resilient plant communities shaped by wind, salt, and sea.\n
Led by our Certified Florida Master Naturalists, guests will enjoy a guided
interpretive walk through this remarkable environment, learning how coasta
l hammocks form, why they are so rare, and the vital role protected lands l
ike Anastasia State Park play in Florida’s long-term conservation efforts.\
n\nFollowing the hike, guests will gather for a chef-prepared, three-course
seafood feast, thoughtfully designed to celebrate Florida’s coastal flavor
 s. Prepared fresh on-site, this elevated dining experience transforms the a
fternoon into a memorable blend of education, community, and cuisine—surrou
nded by one of the state’s most beautiful natural settings.\nWhether you co
me for the learning, the food, or the chance to slow down and connect with
nature, this experience offers a meaningful way to engage with Florida’s wi
ld coast.\n\nTuition includes:\n-A guided interpretive walk through Anastas
ia State Park’s coastal hardwood hammock\nEducational insights from Certifi
ed Florida Master Naturalists\n-A chef-prepared, three-course seafood meal
served outdoors\nFNE INC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connectin
g people with Florida’s natural landscapes through hands-on education, cons
ervation awareness, and community-centered experiences\n-Funds raised throu
gh this event directly support our ability to continue offering educational
workshops and outdoor programs across the state.\nSpecial dietary needs ca
n be accommodated with advance notice. Please inform us of any food restric
tions at least three days prior to the event.\n\nSpace is limited. Advance
registration is required. We can't wait to see you on the trail!
