Washington Oaks Gardens State Park: Photo Challenge

The Friends of Washington Oaks are introducing a new exciting monthly Photo Challenge on the third Saturday of each month!

The event is open to photographers at every level of expertise. Three photo spots will be designated within the Park each month with specific assignments. Those interested in participating will receive a map of the gardens and the challenge photo spots at the Ranger Station or from a volunteer in the main garden parking lot on the day of the event. The challenge rules and a photo release will be included with the map.

There will be volunteers available at the photo spot locations to assist photographers from 9am until noon, however, participants may continue to photograph and complete the assignments throughout the day.

Each photographer may submit two 3X5 photographs, in JPEG via email for the new Photo of the Month Contest! All entries must be of the selected photo spots for that month and submitted within five days after the Challenge date. All entries must be accompanied by a signed photo release. Entries will be judged by Washington Oaks volunteers and a winner will be chosen each month. The selected photograph will be displayed each month in the Gift Shop and at the Visitor Center information kiosk.
