Join experienced bird walk leaders from Flagler Audubon Society who will help you explore the varied habitat in and around Flagler County. Explore woodland nature areas, parks, lakes, coastal, scrub habitats and saltwater marshes and learn the birds who live here. Bird walks are geared for both beginners and intermediate birders looking for an introduction to local birds. Bird walks are free and open to the public. You DO NOT need to sign up in advance; just show up at the specified meeting time and place. October 7 - "Big Sit" at Princess Place No walking required! Join us at Creekside Festival to observe birds from around our booth, entering the international Big Sit birding event. November 4 - Matanzas Inlet This barrier island and inlet has great views of shorebirds. December (Date TBD) - Christmas Bird Count Join us in the 118th CBC, the largest and longest running citizen science survey in the world! January 6 - Owl Prowl at St. Joe Walkway Calling all night owls! Meet at 5:00 p.m. February (Date TBD) - Winter Shorebird Survey Meet at the Flagler Pier at 8:00 am for this statewide citizen science survey. March 3 - Palm Coast Spray Fields Palm Coast's own future version of Viera Wetlands. April 7 - Western Flagler Motor Tour A car trip to locations in Western Flagler.
