The Limelight Theatre Guild will celebrate the theatre’s founding 25 years ago with its annual Magnolia luncheon, musical entertainment and a fashion show at Amici’s restaurant. The fundraiser will feature renown jazz singer Linda Cole, and a fashion show with a surprise twist. Also, there will be a silent auction, a 50-50 event and a lucky drawing.
Reservations must be made before Feb. 20.
The Limelight Theatre is St. Augustine’s only year-round nonprofit community theatre. Not only does it present musicals, comedies and dramas, but it also has a growing education program, KidzfACTory, that produces plays and workshops and has a school partnership program. Additionally, Limelight features local musicians in its monthly Music in the Box series, as well Improvisational workshops and space for community events and meetings. Because ticket sales cover only half the cost of productions, Limelight must rely on grants and fundraisers. The Limelight Guild is an organization of about 125 men and women who support the theatre through volunteering and fundraising.
